Shivani Bhardwaj, PT Resident

I am a dedicated physiotherapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, New Delhi, India, where I began my career in this rewarding field. While still in India, I worked in a long-term care facility and as a consultant, treating patients with many different conditions, from musculoskeletal to neurological.

During my practice as a physiotherapist, I also had a chance to provide teleservices, which allowed me to connect with and treat individuals globally, enriching my practice with diverse experiences. Enhancing my expertise, I completed a certificate course in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, which significantly contributed to my clinical skills.

Driven by a desire to explore new horizons, I decided to move miles away from my hometown and experience a different part of the world. I decided to tap into the management side of healthcare and pursued a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Healthcare Management at Cape Breton University in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It has been so amazing here in Canada’s ocean playground; spending time on different beaches and kayaking have been my favourite activities. During this period, I also passed the Canadian licensing exam to become a Physiotherapy Resident in Nova Scotia. I am excited to join Carolyn and her exceptional team, bringing my background in physiotherapy and healthcare management to contribute to our shared mission of delivering outstanding patient care.

Hi, I’m Maude Jobin Marchand, PT

I completed my physiotherapy degree at Laval University in 2014. Since then, I have worked in private clinics and gyms, focusing on treating adults with musculoskeletal issues. Additionally, I am trained to provide telerehab services if necessary.

My connection to sports, particularly running and surfing, has fueled my passion for sports physiotherapy. I actively participate in these sports weekly, which has given me a unique understanding of the physical demands they place on the body. Over the years, I have honed my skills in treating low back and foot pain. I have developed a lumbar stabilization program that has successfully helped many individuals move away from orthoses.

I prioritize evidence-based practice and have pursued further education in dry needling, manual therapy, and exercise science. With a holistic view of the body, I often teach preventive exercises to improve muscle and postural balance and offer advice to enhance body awareness. During your rehabilitation journey, I will act as a coach, guiding you to understand your body better and optimize your well-being. I am fully bilingual, so those who speak French first may find it more comfortable sharing their experiences with me in the clinic. I am excited to assist you in achieving an active and pain-free lifestyle.
